Foreign Policy
I believe that foreign policy should be guided by our moral and legal duty to uphold the principles of international law.
I have been vocal and consistent on this – whether speaking out on Venezuela here, pushing back on the encroachment on Greenland’s sovereignty here, or condemning the military action in Iran here.
I am pleased that the Government has rejected US requests for the UK to participate in offensive military action that has no legal basis. The UK must not support or be drawn into costly conflict that is ill-judged, ill-advised, and illegal. As your MP, I will continue to make this case, both publicly and within Parliament.
