Greenland

President Trump’s threats against Greenland are dangerous, reckless and absurd. Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders. It is up to them and Denmark to decide what their future looks like, not a bully who is supposed to be our ally. We must respect the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. As the Foreign Secretary has outlined, arctic security is a shared concern and a shared responsibility for both sides of the Atlantic. This is why we have NATO. 

I visited Greenland in March to hear for myself the determination of people to make their own decisions about their future. Greenland is not for sale.
