This time last week, I was in Edinburgh, taking part in a British Foreign Policy Group debate on the Scottish influence on foreign policy, before giving the ‘Toast to the Immortal Memory’ speech at the Edinburgh South Labour Burns Night supper.
On Saturday, I spoke to the Scottish Fabians conference in their session on ‘Foreign Policy in a Trump World’, and I had one or two things to say about the American President, and our government’s shameful obeisance to him. You can read that speech here.
It’s a long speech, but if you have a few spare minutes to read it, do let me have your thoughts. Best wishes,
