New figures reveal Islington suffers second worst child poverty in the UK

Nearly half of all children in Islington South and Finsbury are living in poverty, according to shocking new figures revealed by the End Child Poverty Campaign.
Commenting on the news, Emily said:
What I and Labour have always said is that the cuts this country is enduring will have a bad effect on Islington, and this shows that we’re right. We are supposed to be all in this together.
Well, tell Islington children that. Either this government is incompetent or doesn’t care. I think it doesn’t care.
