Combining cycling and rail travel brings together two highly efficient transport modes to form a healthy, sustainable and readily affordable solution for longer distance journeys.
In summer 2007 the DfT will publish a White Paper setting out plans for the railways over the next 30 years. This is an opportunity to restate the importance of properly integrating cycle facilities with all new rolling stock and provide cycle facilities at stations.
