This afternoon MP's had the chance to respond to a Ministerial Statement from David Davies, Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union.
Once again, the Government failed to give us any more detail about what Brexit will mean for the country and didn't to provide us with any assurances that there will be a further injection of democracy before Article 50 is triggered.
Going into the referendum without planning for the consequences of a vote to leave was gross negligence, but the Government's current efforts are rank incompetence.
Instead of offering the British people and businesses the reassurance that they need with a clear strategy, the Government offered us nothing but empty platitudes this afternoon. Pretty disappointing to be honest, but hardly surprising.
